About The Position

TRPLF is currently accepting applications for a Senior Director of Finance, a key leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, strategy, and planning within the organization. This individual ensures fiscal integrity and maintains compliance with regulatory requirements. With a focus on financial strategy, grant management, front-of-house revenue, and budgeting, the Senior Director of Finance is pivotal in aligning financial operations with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
  • Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in grant management, revenue streams, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel and financial modeling tools).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the Accounting/Finance departments.
  • Director of Accounting and Manager of Finance are direct reports.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for staff.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve organizational goals and drive sustainability.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on financial matters, offering insights to support decision-making.
  • Oversee the financial management of grants, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with team to develop grant budgets, track expenditures, and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of front-of-house operations, including ticket sales, retail, and concessions.
  • Conduct financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Monitor and adjust budgets to reflect changes in funding, operations, or market conditions.
  • Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, and general ledger activities.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
  • Safeguard company assets by implementing effective financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align financial planning with operational goals.
