Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services with 10+ years of experience in the developmental disabilities field; or Master's Degree in Human Services with 7+ years of experience in the developmental disabilities field.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct supervisory experience leading and developing staff.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience administering Human Services programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, program management, and operational oversight experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams on strategic planning, policy development, special projects, investigations, committee participation, and organizational initiatives.
  • Proven ability to cultivate collaborative working relationships across departments to support organizational goals and continuous quality improvement.
  • The successful candidate will need to pass a background check, and pre-employment health screens which includes a drug screen and physical/ergonomic test
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for adult residential services supporting approximately 150 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across 54 community-based homes.
  • Oversees 300 Direct Support Professionals and 14 managers to ensure high-quality, person-centered services aligned with individualized support, behavioral, and nursing care plans.
  • Leads service delivery to promote choice, dignity, independence, health, safety, and community inclusion while maintaining regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and operational effectiveness.
  • Champions Person-Centered Thinking principles and ensures adherence to agency, local, state, federal, and DDA requirements.
  • Advances organizational strategic goals, quality improvement initiatives, CARF accreditation standards, and best practices through performance monitoring and outcome measurement.
  • Serves as a liaison with regulatory agencies and community partners, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence in services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
