This role provides strategic leadership for the Community Program section of the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation (TPC) Division by overseeing staff, administering statewide and community-based programs, and guiding grant processes. The work of the partners and staff in Community Programs is a major component of the state’s tobacco control efforts. It requires expertise in coalition building and the ability to deliver comprehensive training and technical assistance to coalition coordinators, partner agencies, and community program staff. The position also develops new programs and policies, maintains key state and national partnerships, and ensures alignment with evidence-based practices and Indiana’s tobacco control priorities and strategic plan.
