About The Position

The Senior Director, Marketing Communications is responsible for shaping and protecting Bluebeam's reputation through an integrated communications strategy spanning corporate communications, executive thought leadership, media relations, social media, creator partnerships, and strategic storytelling. This role serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, developing the corporate narrative and ensuring consistent messaging across earned media, executive communications, customer stories, product launches, and corporate initiatives. The Sr. Director partners closely with Product Marketing, Creative, Digital Marketing, Customer Success and Executive Leadership to position Bluebeam as the leading technology company for the built environment. The person in this role understands that communications has evolved beyond traditional mediums. They possess deep expertise in how customers discover and trust brands across business media, social platforms, creator communities, and AI-powered search experiences. This leader develops communications strategies that increase Bluebeam's visibility, credibility, and authority wherever industry professionals consume information. This role also provides strategic oversight for Bluebeam's global organic social media presence and influencer relations strategy, ensuring content is optimized for audience engagement, digital discoverability, and measurable business impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, executive communications, or strategic marketing communications.
  • Experience leading integrated communications teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in marketing, communications, social media or event planning
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Creative thinking and curiosity about storytelling and brand building
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Comfort learning new marketing tools and technologies
  • Demonstrated success partnering directly with executive leadership.
  • Up to 20% – Domestic and international travel as needed to support customer events, industry conferences and internal meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Bluebeam's global corporate communications strategy, including product launches, acquisitions, partnerships, executive announcements, corporate initiatives, issues management, and crisis communications.
  • Serve as the strategic communications advisor to executive leadership, developing thought leadership programs, keynote presentations, bylined articles, media messaging, executive social media content, and speaking opportunities.
  • Ensure Bluebeam's corporate narrative and messaging is represented with consistency across media, executive communications, product marketing, customer stories, and corporate content.
  • Advise on global media relations strategy to elevate Bluebeam's industry leadership.
  • Oversee Bluebeam's global organic social media strategy across LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, X, and emerging platforms, ensuring each channel supports broader communications and business objectives.
  • Further expand and develop Bluebeam's influencer and creator relations strategy to extend brand reach, credibility, and customer engagement.
  • Partner with Social Media, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing and Web teams to ensure communications programs maximize visibility across traditional search engines, AI-powered search experiences, and community-driven platforms.
  • Monitor emerging trends in AI search, platform algorithms, digital publishing, and social media, evolving communications strategies to maintain Bluebeam's leadership in an increasingly AI-driven discovery environment.
  • Develop and execute integrated thought leadership campaigns including proprietary research, executive content, customer storytelling and speaking programs that strengthen Bluebeam's reputation and market leadership.
  • Establish communications measurement frameworks that evaluate earned media, executive visibility, digital influence, audience engagement, share of voice, brand authority, and contribution to business objectives.
  • Serve as communications lead for issues management and crisis communications planning, partnering with executive leadership to protect and strengthen Bluebeam's reputation.
