A leading regional healthcare provider known for patient-centric care is seeking a Senior Director of Laboratory Operations to lead its regional clinical laboratory services. This executive will oversee testing quality, turnaround, regulatory readiness, and financial performance across multiple laboratory sites. The role suits a proven laboratory leader who can modernize operations while keeping patient care at the center of every decision. The ideal candidate is a seasoned laboratory executive who has run multi-site operations and delivered measurable gains in quality, turnaround, and cost. You lead through other leaders, build strong physician partnerships, and approach laboratory modernization with a practical plan and a focus on patient outcomes. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related field
• Extensive progressive clinical laboratory leadership experience
• Senior management experience across multiple laboratory sites or departments
• Deep knowledge of CAP, CLIA, and Joint Commission laboratory standards
• Strong financial management, budgeting, and operational planning skills
• Ability to work onsite in Atlanta on a full-time basis

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in business, health administration, or laboratory science
• ASCP certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent
• Experience within a large integrated health system
• Background leading laboratory automation or LIS implementation projects
• Lean or Six Sigma process improvement experience

Responsibilities

• Direct regional clinical laboratory operations across multiple sites and service lines
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, and state laboratory regulations
• Set quality, turnaround time, and productivity goals and hold teams accountable
• Manage operating and capital budgets, staffing models, and vendor contracts
• Lead laboratory automation, information system, and process improvement initiatives
• Develop managers and supervisors through coaching and succession planning
• Partner with physicians and hospital leaders on test utilization and service needs
