About The Position

This role provides enterprise global leadership and strategy for Westinghouse's diverse and complex portfolio of I&C safety systems. The Senior Director will be responsible for leadership and system delivery to Operating Plant Markets. The position reports to the VP, GOS I&C Engineering and is located at the Warrendale, PA location. This is a hybrid role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience managing complex engineering organizations, with backgrounds in instrumentation and control systems
  • Expertise in estimating and implementing complex engineering programs
  • Demonstrated ability to detect industry shifts and align product strategies to emerging market needs
  • Record of driving organizational performance and results

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global I&C Safety Systems Engineering organization in delivering products and solutions for operating fleet customers across Americas, EMEA and Asia.
  • Champion deep engagement with global markets, ensuring customer needs and operating realities directly inform product strategies and solution design.
  • Ensure Westinghouse maintains and strengthens its position as the industry's technical leader in safety systems.
  • Build a global engineering workforce through structured training, development programs, and career growth pathways.
  • Ensure resource allocation across concurrent complex projects, aligning talent and capabilities with business demand.
  • Grow the Global resource profile of Westinghouse subject matter expertise across teams located in USA, EMEA, Asia.
  • Reduce product and delivery costs through value engineering, lean methodologies, and process improvements.
  • Develop standardized global processes and governance structures that inspire consistency, quality, and scalability.
  • Use Advanced Automation tools to support the continuous improvement of the I&C design process and meet the required use, productivity and throughput improvements.
  • Accelerate innovation through strategic partnerships and internal R&D, promoting new technologies and value engineered solutions.
  • Oversee product development programs that balance performance, cost, and lifecycle value. Improve programs to refine design, assembly, build and test processes and increase productivity.
  • Use Advanced Automation tools to support the continuous improvement of the I&C portfolio products and solving customer challenges.
  • Lead development of engineering practices that mitigate technical and regulatory risk for Westinghouse and its customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable global safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
