About The Position

The Senior Director, Head of Communications Operations serves as a strategic and operational partner to the Head of Global Communications, ensuring the Global Communications function operates with clarity, consistency, and impact. This role leads the design and execution of core operating rhythms and processes, connects work across teams by enabling the function’s COE model, and supports leadership in achieving the team’s big rocks.

  • Strong track record of driving results in complex, multi-stakeholder, volatile, and uncertain environments.
  • Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive and proprietary information, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Directly support Head of PepsiCo Global Communications in managing the function agenda, ensuring focus on top priorities.
  • Lead development of executive-ready updates.
  • Act as a central point of coordination across leadership forums (e.g., CLT, CALT, PEC).
  • Establish and run core communications operating cadences (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and timeliness of key deliverables and reporting.
  • Continuously improve processes to streamline workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Drive development and adoption of standardized tools, templates, and reporting formats.
  • Improve how teams deliver, measure, and communicate impact.
  • Serve as the primary lead on high-impact special projects that shape stakeholder perceptions of PepsiCo and substantively influence business operations.
  • Provide comprehensive project management, aligning external and internal subject matter experts. (SMEs), PepsiCo Executive Committee (PEC), and Corporate Affairs specialists for seamless execution.
  • Connect work across communications teams (enterprise, functional, regional, market).
  • Ensure alignment on key narratives, priorities, and execution across the function.
  • Partner with senior leaders (e.g., CLT, CALT, PEC, etc.,) to drive coordinated outcomes.
  • Consolidate inputs across teams into clear priorities for leadership.
  • Help shape how communications work is planned, sequenced, and resourced.
  • Support longer-term planning, including AOP.
  • Compile quarterly reports for leadership.
  • Align Communications processes (e.g., AOP, strategic activations, people processes) with key business activities to improve cohesion and effectiveness across the company.
  • Lead the annual operating plan (AOP) process within Communications and Corporate Affairs, ensuring robust budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of functional management meetings, ensuring all critical management areas—including budgets, progress measurement, and key project updates—are thoroughly discussed and aligned with corporate objectives.
