Senior Director-Credit & Asset Management
About The Position
The Senior Director, Credit Portfolio Management, is responsible for the overall asset management of a portfolio of commercial real estate loans and investments, including complex and/or high-touch assets, with little need for detailed supervision. The role provides leadership on complex customer requests and internal inquiries, oversees compliance with loan agreements and covenants, and directs the review of borrower consent requests and analysis of property performance. It also manages property condition inspections and compliance audits, identifies and communicates investor risks, and provides recommendations to senior management. The Senior Director maintains relationships with borrowers, special servicers, certificate administrators, and other stakeholders; interprets loan and securitization documents; and applies comprehensive expertise in real estate transactions, including deal structuring, entity formation, asset management, and market analysis. The position mentors and develops an Associate Director and promotes a culture of excellence within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 9 years of experience in Portfolio Management, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
- At least 5 years of management experience through direct or indirect structures.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing commercial real estate loan documents and deal documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex loan documents and identify critical triggers.
- Detail-oriented, with the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in addressing complex customer requests and internal inquiries, ensuring high service standards and effective issue resolution.
- Oversee compliance with loan agreements and covenants, proactively identify non-compliance, and direct enforcement actions as needed.
- Supervise the review and processing of borrower consent requests, coordinating with relevant parties to safeguard stakeholder interests.
- Direct the analysis and reporting of property performance and deliver strategic insights to inform decision-making.
- Manage and review property condition inspections and compliance audits, ensuring thorough evaluation and regulatory adherence.
- Identify, assess, and communicate investor risks, and offer actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with borrowers, special servicers, certificate administrators, and other key stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Interpret and provide guidance on loan and securitization documents, ensuring organizational compliance and alignment.
- Apply expertise in real estate transactions, including deal structuring, entity formation, asset management, and market analysis.
- Mentor and develop an Associate Director, fostering professional growth and promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
