The Senior Director, Advanced Technologies & Innovation serves as the execution leader and principal architect responsible for translating strategic innovation priorities into funded product opportunities and validated technology programs for iRhythm’s next-generation or early upstream technologies. This leader will drive the needs finding, landscape exploration and idea sourcing, conception, feasibility, and translation of new capabilities across AI, sensors, digital biomarkers, and data science into differentiated clinical and commercial solutions that are readied for product development. This highly visible role sits at the intersection of science, medicine, technology, and business strategy — defining the upstream innovation roadmap, exploring inorganic and organic solutions to fit the needs and corporate strategy theses, and leading execution from ideation to product concept and charter. The leader operates as an extension of executive leadership team, as the steward of the Innovation Committee, and acts as a key integrator across the business, driving complex cross-functional initiatives across Product, Business Development, R&D, Science, Regulatory, Clinical, Commercial, and Corporate Strategy organizations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to create organizational momentum, drive decision-making across stakeholders with competing priorities, and independently advance initiatives without requiring detailed executive direction. Success in this role requires exceptional initiative, influence, organizational leadership, and execution under ambiguity. The Senior Director is expected to drive initiatives through early-stage gating from concept through investment decision and transition into product development.
