The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology (LMP) at the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine is seeking a Director, Innovations and Partnerships for the Temerty Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research and Education in Medicine (T-CAIREM). T-CAIREM is an interdepartmental centre focused on advancing health through machine learning by fostering collaboration between computer scientists, healthcare providers, researchers, trainees, and industry. The Centre aims to be a global leader in AI in medicine research, education, and knowledge dissemination, building capacity and strategic partnerships to implement transformative solutions in healthcare. As the Director, Innovations and Partnerships, you will be responsible for advancing T-CAIREM’s financial sustainability by leading commercialization and business development activities. This includes identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and guiding initiatives towards implementation and commercialization. You will work with inventors, researchers, and external partners to protect intellectual property, negotiate commercialization agreements, and build diverse revenue streams to support the Centre's mission.
