About The Position

M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Designer to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Scottsdale, AZ. An active Secret clearance is required. This role involves researching, designing, developing, and testing electronic equipment and systems, including radar detection/communications equipment and systems, circuitry components, computers, and Digital Signal Processing equipment. The designer will exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance the client's business performance, deliver innovative and flexible solutions, and support the client's culture and strategy. Staying current with industry trends and developments is crucial to ensure services are consistent with best practices. The position also requires providing technical leadership and identifying opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

Active Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field and 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
Experience with schematic capture
Extensive experience designing multi-layer Printer Circuit Boards with controlled impedance layers and blind micro-vias.
Able to analyze and test for signal integrity, crosstalk, etc.
Familiar with several families of microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and System-on-Chips.
Demonstrate initiative on assignments; exercise strong independent judgment.
Able to technically lead/mentor less senior engineers.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Mentor design tools.
High Reliability or Space experience.
Experience with Worst Case Analysis, Stress Analysis.
