Senior Digital Design Engineer

QualcommSan Diego, CA
$123,056 - $173,400

About The Position

This individual independently plans, performs the moderately-defined responsibility for the high-speed digital design, baseband design, signal integrity analysis and simulation, integration and test, transition and power management ICs for in-house design verification and software/firmware development to manufacturing and maintaining hardware through the product cycle. Designs CPU-based circuit boards and cards for consumer electronics, wireless devices, and low power platforms. Performs digital component level evaluation, optimization, unit level testing and RF debug of platform hardware and other wireless designs in an engineering environment. Support Design Engineers with the set-up and execution of complex tests and component evaluation related to base band designs. Work across hardware engineering disciplines to define the platform requirements, architecture of the platform, designing and documenting the hardware platform, schematic and BOM capture actively contributing toward the evolution of a shared platform. Works with the CAD team on the PWB layout, lab-based design verification and integration, transition of the design to small volume production and in-house technical support. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.
