About The Position

Peraton’s National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit is seeking a talented Senior DevOps Engineer to support their impactful SITE III JIOC contract. This role involves supporting critical applications for Collection Management, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and intelligence operations. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, the individual will be crucial in providing reliable and resilient solutions for intelligence analysts, operations, and collection managers, working on requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, services development, integration, testing, and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Experienced in agile software methodology and DevSecOps principles.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation with Open Source and COTS tools.
  • Skilled in using development tools like Java, Git, and Junit.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an area applicable to the position with 12+ years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience OR a PhD with 7 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement.
  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph, or TS with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • Current 8570 IAT Level II or higher cert such as CompTIA Security+ CE for Privileged User Access (PUA).
  • Programming Language Experience including – but not limited to – Java, Python (Poetry, Flask, etc.) and JavaScript (emphasis on React ecosystem libraries).
  • AWS technologies: Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, DocumentDB.
  • Experience using modern techniques such as REST, JSON, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., JQuery, Angular, React), and Docker.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Git, Jenkins, Gitlab

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a Scrum team to develop and enhance enterprise systems.
  • Apply best practices in architecture design, data science, cloud services, and DevSecOps.
  • Automate testing and integration using Open Source and COTS tools.
  • Develop and integrate bug fixes and new features using tools like Java, Git, and Junit.
