About The Position

The Senior DevOps Engineer partners with Development, DevSecOps, and Cyber teams to develop and apply Microsoft best practices, processes, and culture for DevOps in an Azure-hosted environment. The role provides expertise in application design, infrastructure, monitoring, and GitHub pipeline development, and guides engineering teams in building secure software and implementing security controls in an Agile environment. The position focuses on secure end-to-end delivery, including collaboration, code and infrastructure practices, source control, security and compliance, continuous integration, testing, delivery, monitoring, and feedback, with particular emphasis on database infrastructure and automation. It manages GitHub Actions pipelines and supports Azure DevOps projects, assists with configuration of Azure SQL, MongoDB Atlas, and potentially PostgreSQL, and works with application and asset teams to integrate secure coding and design practices. The role also supports the Secure Systems Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), monitors system performance, maintains design and troubleshooting documentation, provides training and support, and plans disaster recovery measures and Azure data-storage security.
