About the position
Outset is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Cloud Infrastructure team. The role involves assisting in the improvement, provisioning, and management of Tablo Cloud in AWS, as well as replicating Tablo Cloud within VA Enterprise Cloud. The ideal candidate should have experience in systems and network engineering, cloud automation, and security. They will be responsible for maintaining the tooling and infrastructure used for automating release, deployment, and upgrade processes for cloud applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a medical device startup and have a significant impact across multiple Outset platforms and products.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of cloud infrastructure
- Harden security and operating system for EC2 instances and ensure security best practices are followed during automated CICD processes
- Develop alerts and reports on the health of operations
- Troubleshoot problems related to cloud infrastructure and systems
- Create, support, and optimize CI/CD pipelines
- Automate AWS infrastructure deployment through code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, CDK, etc.
- Implement, support, and maintain monitoring and alert systems such as Prometheus, ELK, and CloudWatch
- Minimum of 4 years of DevOps production experience in infrastructure and security management
- Minimum of 2-6 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, IAM, Security Groups, Route53, S3, etc)
- Proficient in using AWS services
- Experience with automation/configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, OpsWorks, Puppet) and CI/CD systems (Jenkins)
- Experience with virtualization and containerization, preferably with Docker, ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes
- Experience with hardening for security using tools such as Packer, ansible-hardening, AWS SSM, etc.
- Experience with development tools like Github, JIRA, Artifactory, Nexus, and deploying applications on AWS
- Familiarity with configuring Load Balancers (ALB, NLB), Reverse Proxies, Firewalls, AWS WAF
- US citizenship is required for security clearance purposes.
