The Senior Development Editor, High School position offers the opportunity to lead complex content initiatives from idea to execution. Success in this role requires a blend of excellent editorial judgment, logistical expertise, creative problem- solving, attention to detail, and strong cross-functional collaboration. The successful Senior Development Editor, High School will have a flexible, forward-oriented outlook and genuine enthusiasm for new technology, AI, and the changing nature of editorial work. This position anchors the operational core of content development and production, ensuring that every project runs smoothly and results in high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning materials. The Senior Development Editor, High School translates deep understanding of teacher and student needs into successful project execution, developing everything from core text revisions and Teacher's Editions to new courseware and learning products for emerging markets. The Senior Development Editor, High School will partner with authors and the content team to develop and refine instructional approaches that strengthen BFW's presence across AP and high school markets. This role manages project schedules, budgets, handoffs, and cross-functional communication to keep content moving smoothly and efficiently throughout all phases of development and production. The Senior Development Editor, High School coordinates internal teams, authors/contributors, vendors, and contractors so that deliverables stay on schedule and flow smoothly between stakeholders. Working in close partnership with Media Editors, Program Managers, Course Product Managers, Production partners, and others, the Senior Development Editor, High School ensures every component of a project comes together on time, within scope, and aligned with customer and learner needs.
