About The Position

The Senior Designer - REVIT/AutoCAD leads design and technical documentation across all project phases, from programming through construction administration. The role requires a deep understanding of design concepts, technical execution, and client coordination. Senior Designers are responsible for conceptual design, project deliverables, team guidance, and ensuring that all work adheres to brand standards and project requirements. This position involves collaboration with project managers, consultants, and vendors, as well as direct interaction with clients and site teams.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of professional experience in interior design or architecture.
  • Hospitality design experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency in REVIT and/or AutoCAD, including creating families and templates.
  • Skilled in SketchUp, Photoshop, and hand sketching.
  • Strong design skills with an appreciation for thoughtful, creative concepts.
  • Expertise in interior architectural finishes, furniture specification, and project cost control.
  • Familiarity with International Building Codes and ADA regulations.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and project management capabilities.
  • Flexibility to travel and adapt to project require

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead interior design direction for projects.
  • Custom design FF&E components (furniture, carpet, lighting).
  • Plan interior spaces and create schematic furniture layouts.
  • Design interior architectural millwork and inspire creativity within the team.
  • Review and redline designs, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and quality.
  • Oversee projects from inception to production to installation, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Supervise, delegate tasks, and provide guidance to junior designers and interns.
  • Prepare and assemble finish specification books.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, submittments, and carpet seaming diagrams.
  • Research design sources and stay current with industry trends and standards.
  • Develop and document designs using REVIT, AutoCAD, and hand sketches.
  • Set up and maintain organized systems for production drawings and submittals.
  • Prepare plans, elevations, details, and 3D models for design presentations.
  • Review contractor bid documents and provide comments or value engineering suggestions.
  • Attend client and team meetings, including conference calls and site visits.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Facilitate weekly design team meetings and offer process improvement suggestions.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Contribute ideas during creative meetings and maintain professional standards.
  • Execute all responsibilities within set timelines, with care and professionalism.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
