About The Position

Premier Brands Group Holdings is a global leader in apparel, jewelry, and accessories design. The Senior Design Manager serves as a senior leader responsible for driving seasonal product direction, category strategy, and end-to-end design execution while acting as a key partner to Design leadership. This role bridges the gap between Senior Designer and Director by combining strong individual contribution with cross-functional leadership, business influence, and mentorship responsibilities. The Senior Design Manager will oversee complex businesses and categories, guide junior team members, and play a significant role in shaping product assortments, customer strategies, and overall brand growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of apparel design experience
  • Strong end-to-end product development experience
  • Experience leading categories, businesses, or high-volume brands
  • Proven ability to mentor and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of construction, fit, fabrication, sourcing, and garment engineering
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Established vendor and mill relationships
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead seasonal concept development, trend research, color direction, and product assortments across assigned businesses and categories
  • Drive the design process from concept through production handoff while maintaining alignment with brand vision and business objectives
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Design leadership, Merchandising, Sales, Production, and Technical Design teams
  • Actively design and develop product from concept through final execution, including sketching, fabrications, trim selection, and detailed product specifications
  • Create, develop, and maintain comprehensive technical packages (tech packs), ensuring accuracy and clear communication of design intent throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Mentor and support Assistant Designers
  • Lead fittings, communicate fit intent, and partner closely with Technical Design and Production teams
  • Build and maintain strong vendor, factory, and mill relationships
  • Attend trade shows, market appointments, and customer meetings as needed
  • Present seasonal concepts, assortments, and business opportunities to leadership teams
  • Influence category growth, identify whitespace opportunities, and support long-term product strategies
  • Manage development calendars and ensure milestone execution
