About The Position

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager – A/E Services to support LAUSD’s Facilities Services Division. This senior-level role will oversee multiple seismic, critical repair, retrofit, and engineering repair projects while managing design teams and coordinating projects through the design review process.

Requirements

14 years of full-time paid professional experience managing facilities design or planning and coordinating capital projects, including overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling.
At least 4 years of experience involving the design, planning, and construction of educational facilities or similar public-agency projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
California-registered Architect or Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

Manage multiple facilities design and capital improvement projects.
Lead and supervise architects, engineers, consultants, and other design professionals.
Coordinate the design process to ensure compliance with project scope, budget, schedule, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee design reviews and ensure projects meet LAUSD standards and guidelines.
Provide clear direction to architects regarding project goals, schedules, budgets, and performance expectations.
Monitor project planning and design progress and provide recommendations and status updates.
Review design changes and help ensure projects remain within budget.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, District personnel, and other project stakeholders.
