About The Position

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their electrical engineering teams. This role focuses on designing and developing new products and supporting existing ones, with a strong emphasis on innovation in batteries, motors, and electronics. The company is investing heavily in electrical engineering resources, pushing boundaries in firmware engineering, power electronics, embedded systems, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics.
5 years of design experience.
Strong proficiency in 3D CAD – ProE, Solidworks, NX, or similar.
Strong proficiency in FEA.
Strong analytical skills, knowledge, and experience in process development and design evaluation.
Deep mechanical aptitude, including broad knowledge of engineering materials, mechanical properties, and an understanding of associated manufacturing processes.
Ability to travel up to 10% (Domestic and International).
High interest in tools of the construction trades.

Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the chief technical resource and mechanical engineering leader on mid/high complexity New Product Development projects.
Provide clear engineering information to Project Leaders and Global Engineering teams to facilitate trade-off decisions.
Establish test regimens for products within the scope of the project with minimal guidance.
Deliver complete data analysis to support design recommendations.
Independently develop, write, and analyze testing reports in the internal laboratory.
Serve as a technical resource on areas of expertise and provide consultation/mentorship to others.
Execute a wide variety of engineering analyses using Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical data analysis, and FEA.
