The PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the management, security, and optimization of PostgreSQL database instances deployed in cloud environments. This role is crucial for ensuring high availability, robust security, reliable performance, and adherence to enterprise compliance requirements. The DBA will collaborate with cloud engineering, application development, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to maintain scalable, resilient, and well-governed data platforms. Key responsibilities include migrating an Access database to PostgreSQL and creating new databases as required.

Requirements

Experience with Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies
Experience with Triggers & Stored Procedures
Experience with PostgreSQL
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with Infrastructure As Code (IaC)
U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

Managing, securing, and optimizing PostgreSQL database instances deployed in cloud environments.
Ensuring high availability, strong security posture, reliable performance, and alignment with enterprise compliance requirements.
Collaborating with cloud engineering, application development, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to maintain scalable, resilient, and well-governed data platforms.
Migrating an Access database to PostgreSQL.
Creating new databases as needed.
