About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining advanced data visualizations and dashboards using various tools. The developer will translate business requirements into effective visual solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize dashboard performance. Additionally, the position requires mentoring junior developers, contributing to visualization standards, and staying updated with industry trends. The role also includes protecting company intellectual property and customer data privacy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in data visualization or BI development
• Experience in one or more visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Looker)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling

Nice To Haves

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) and web technologies (e.g, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey data insights effectively
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis across large, complex datasets preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake: data modeling, performance tuning, and working with semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML) is a plus
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration tools like SSIS, Apache Airflow, or Azure Data Factory preferred
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and best practices for scalable analytics preferred
• Experience integrating visualization tools with cloud-based data sources and APIs preferred
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments preferred
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles in dashboard design is preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
