Senior Data Insights Analyst (Remote)
About The Position
First American is seeking a Senior Data Insights Analyst to join its Insights & Analytics team. The role collaborates with Product, Operations, Revenue, and Business Development teams to draw insights from data, provide business recommendations, and build stakeholder consensus. The analyst develops the full data life cycle using ambiguous and non-traditional data sources, conducts rigorous analysis for senior management, and creates scalable analytical frameworks, roadmaps, and metrics. The position also applies statistical knowledge and data modeling to support business objectives and turns forecasts and recommendations into actionable plans.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in analytics or relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Demonstrably advanced analytical skills and a desire to tackle complex and ambiguous problems.
- Experience leveraging a business intelligence platform such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Comfort working with limited resources or information in a fast-paced startup culture.
- Familiarity with unstructured data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, or Dynamo.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Python or R, including knowledge of Shiny or Plotly dashboard development.
- A master's or bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mathematics, economics, or statistics.
Responsibilities
- Deliver real-time insights that enable stakeholders to make strategic, data-driven decisions.
- Develop the full life cycle of data at Endpoint/First American from ambiguous and non-traditional data sources.
- Conduct rigorous, fact-based analysis and advise senior management on critical business recommendations.
- Scope and develop scalable analytical frameworks, roadmaps, and metrics for the team and broader organization.
- Generate forecasts, recommendations, and strategic and tactical plans that lead to actionable items.
- Apply statistical knowledge and data modeling to drive business objectives.
- Partner with stakeholders on ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Take ownership of data at Endpoint/First American.
- Manage stakeholders across the organization to drive consensus.
