Senior Data Engineer (w/ Oracle & OLTP) - On-Site
About The Position
NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support the evolution of an enterprise customer profile platform and its integration with a broad ecosystem of applications. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions, database platforms, and integration capabilities that support critical business processes and data assets. The engineer will use cloud-native technologies, modern data engineering practices, AWS, and Snowflake to deliver scalable and reliable solutions that improve data accessibility, quality, and performance. The position is on-site five days per week in Plano, Texas, or Nashville, Tennessee.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of data engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle RDBMS, including SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and query/performance optimization.
- At least 3 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting ETL and data integration solutions.
- At least 2 years of experience with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, SNS, SQS, or similar platforms.
- At least 2 years of programming experience using Java and/or Python.
- At least 1 year of experience developing or supporting solutions in AWS cloud environments.
- At least 2 years of experience supporting Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) systems and high-volume transactional workloads.
Nice To Haves
- Java programming experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting production applications and data platforms, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- Experience building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines.
- Experience with API-based integrations and distributed systems.
- Experience developing scalable, high-performance data solutions.
- Understanding of enterprise data architecture and integration patterns.
