The Senior Data Engineer – Exadata Platform Engineering is responsible for the administration, maintenance, performance optimization, and lifecycle management of Oracle Exadata engineered systems, including both On-Premises Exadata and Exadata Cloud Services (ExaCS). This role focuses on Exadata infrastructure and cloud environments. The position ensures the availability, performance, scalability, and security of mission-critical, large-scale platform environments while providing operational support, capacity planning, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. This role is responsible for the administration, engineering, support, and continuous improvement of Oracle Exadata engineered systems and supporting platform technologies. Responsibilities include platform design and implementation, infrastructure analysis, performance optimization, system monitoring, capacity planning, patching, troubleshooting, documentation, operational support, and lifecycle management. Candidates for this role are expected to build quality reliable secure automation into all platform services while evaluating emerging Exadata, cloud, monitoring, and automation technologies. This includes developing automation solutions, standardizing operational processes, creating reusable administrative utilities, and driving continuous improvements that enhance system availability, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency. The position serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert, influencing Exadata platform strategies, best practices, and future technology adoption.
