About The Position

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and operating data management systems
  • Ability to query, clean, organize, and store DoW and IC data using common data science languages including Python and R and database technologies including PostgreSQL, SQLite, and ElasticSearch
  • Ability to select and optimize backend database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL for government use cases
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with data management, programming, data engineering, data mining, or data warehousing, or 12+ years of experience with data management, programming, data engineering, data mining, or data warehousing in lieu of a degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with graph databases
  • Experience querying IC APIs
  • Experience with multi-INT analytics or all-source analysis
  • Ability to work a non-standard or shift schedule
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
