About The Position

Actifai is seeking experienced Senior Data Engineers. The Company Actifai is an AI company helping broadband and telecom providers optimize high-value decisions through SaaS applications. Our platform supports real-world decision-making and business processes across acquisition, retention, pricing, and upselling by combining machine learning, experimentation, reinforcement learning, and emerging agentic orchestration. The Actifai Data Engineering team needs great engineers to architect and build the next-generation cloud enterprise data platform. Our team owns the data powering our SaaS application and data products. Our responsibility covers the whole data lifecycle including ingestion, storage, querying, data quality, operations, and governance. We are modernizing our data ecosystem into an enterprise-grade platform, creating the foundation for our next-generation AI applications. We are looking for strong engineers who love taking ownership and solving complex technical problems.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years experience building cloud-native data solutions, preferably on Google Cloud and/or Azure
• Orchestration: Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory
• Storage: Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage
• OLTP: Postgres, Microsoft SQL Server
• Warehouses: BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric
• Proven ability in writing clean, scalable code with significant programming experience in Python and solid understanding SQL.
• Experience refactoring and upgrading in-place data systems to modern data engineering standards; comfortable working with messy real-world datasets.
• An advocate of software development best practices that focuses on engineering and operational excellence.
• Can effectively communicate software engineering issues to business professionals, and business issues to software engineers.
• Exceptional time management and organization skills and can incrementally deliver against tight schedules.
• Experience planning and executing work modules that span several months.
• An eye for detail in both data and design.
• Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent practical work experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the next-generation cloud enterprise data platform.
• Own the data powering our SaaS application and data products.
• Cover the whole data lifecycle including ingestion, storage, querying, data quality, operations, and governance.
• Modernize our data ecosystem into an enterprise-grade platform, creating the foundation for our next-generation AI applications.
• Build and operate a big data platform that processes and refines data and enables efficient access to those data.
• Deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Work with other senior engineers and collaborate with them professionally.
