About The Position

Fanatics Betting and Gaming is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to build the financial reporting function for its growing casino and horse racing business from the ground up. This high-ownership role is responsible for the complete financial reporting stack, from data modeling through dashboards and business insights, with direct visibility to leadership. The analyst reports to the Senior Manager of Financial Analytics and partners with teams across engineering, finance, legal and compliance, operations, and commercial functions.

Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in an analyst role within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Strong SQL skills and experience querying and working with large datasets across platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, MSSQL, Vertica, Presto, or PostgreSQL.
Experience with dbt Core or dbt Cloud, including building models, transformations, and reports.
Proficiency with a BI or visualization tool such as Sigma, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
Experience owning projects end to end and building solutions from scratch.
Ability to communicate requirements clearly to engineering teams and insights and progress to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong accountability and autonomy, with the ability to work without heavy direction.

Nice To Haves

Python for data wrangling and pipeline building.
Experience with GenAI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Snowflake Cortex, or GitHub Copilot.
Gaming, casino, or sports betting industry experience.
Startup or consulting background.
Experience working alongside finance teams as a data practitioner.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain financial reporting infrastructure for the new iCasino division, including dashboards, recurring reports, and KPI tracking.
Own data modeling in partnership with the analytics engineering team and deliver final reporting in Sigma and Oracle.
Join and transform large, complex datasets using SQL, Snowflake, and dbt to support cross-functional reporting needs.
Identify and communicate insights about business performance to finance and business stakeholders.
Design and develop BI solutions in Sigma following industry best practices.
Help implement and maintain best practices for internal and external Sigma environments.
Collaborate with analysts and data engineers to solve business problems and build scalable solutions.
Use GenAI tools, including Snowflake Cortex, Claude, and GitHub Copilot, to automate workflows and improve reporting efficiency.
Train and mentor others on BI best practices and newer Snowflake and Claude functionalities.
Stay current on data analytics trends and developments in the sports betting and gaming industry.
