About The Position

The State of Arizona is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to gather, extract, clean, transform, analyze, and organize data from designated sources. The analyst will develop statistical and analytical reports, executive-level dashboards, and visualizations to help stakeholders gain insights and make informed business decisions. This is a long-term contract role based onsite in Phoenix, Arizona, for local Phoenix candidates only. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• Strong experience with T-SQL.
• Experience with SQL Analytics Server.
• Knowledge of data modeling.
• Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or R.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work with large datasets, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Access.
• PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, transform, and organize data for analysis and reporting.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
• Develop statistical, analytical, and executive-level reports, dashboards, and charts.

• Perform data quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy.
• Present findings clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation and meet project deadlines.
