About The Position

Delaware Nation Industries is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support the Air National Guard Plans, Programs and Requirements Directorate (NGB A5/8). The Air National Guard strategic planning processes enable a Guard force that is capable and sustainable as a cost-effective element of national security. This role involves planning and executing procedures for requesting, reviewing, accepting, storing, retrieving, updating, and disseminating cost, programmatic, and technical data. The analyst will perform a broad range of operations research analysis functions to examine unique problems through creativity, innovative techniques, advanced approaches, and/or new technologies. They will provide data science and analytics expertise, advisory support, and assistance to Air National Guard programs, projects, and operations. Responsibilities include attending meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars, and maintaining proficiency through participation in technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, research, and training. The role requires researching, writing, and presenting complex data analysis results in an understandable format for senior leaders and decision-makers, with technical data visualization products potentially in the form of reports, informational graphics, and/or briefings. The analyst will inform Air National Guard studies, analysis, and lessons learned, and collaborate across directorates to synchronize datasets and reporting.

Requirements

  • Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Research, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Math, or Economics.
  • Experience working in the Department of Defense environment, preferably the Air Force or National Guard.
  • Highly proficient in computational programming languages such as Python, R, Julia, SAS, or related language.
  • Highly proficient in data visualization tools such as RStudio, Plotly, PowerBI, Tableau, or related tool.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and present them in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understanding of Air National Guard functions and missions under Title 10 and Title 32.

  • Master’s Degree.
