Senior Customer Marketing Manager

Assort HealthSan Francisco, CA
$180,000 - $200,000Onsite

About The Position

Our customers’ outcomes are our product story. When SENTA converts 64% of referrals into appointments without adding headcount, Michigan Orthopedic Surgeons captures $2.3M in new revenue, or Annapolis Internal Medicine books 61% of annual flu shots through AI outreach alone, those are more than testimonials. They’re evidence that what we are building works. Your job is to build the engine that captures, organizes, and activates evidence across every customer relationship and every go-to-market motion. You will own customer marketing end to end: building our Customer Advisory Board from 0>1, programmatizing how we measure and tell customer ROI, scaling case studies and references across video, audio, written formats, and embedding voice-of-customer everywhere it should live (campaigns, web, events, collateral, ads, and more). From day one you’ll work at lightning speed to build cross-functional processes and ensure that voice-of-customer content is embedded throughout our sales and marketing tools. This is a strategic and mission-critical role at a company where customer trust and outcomes are paramount. Your work will directly tie to revenue, and be measured by your ability to help our team attract and close new customers, and you will work directly with sales leadership, account management, and our customers themselves. You’ll advocate for our customers, understand their needs, tell their stories, and build relationships that earn us their advocacy.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer marketing, content marketing, and/or social media. You know what works and push the limits of what is possible in those channels.
  • Experience engaging with, and building rapport with customers, in settings like interviews, on-site visits, and executive conversations.
  • 5-7 years in customer marketing, content marketing, product marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Skill as a creator (video, written, audio) and communicator (written and oral; internal and external) that’s apparent in both the quality and quantity of your output.
  • Strong project management skills, including standing up programs from scratch and scaling them; the ability to toggle as the focus shifts.
  • The judgment of someone who understands that customer trust is a long-term asset, not a short-term lever.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare, healthtech, or another complex B2B preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Programmatize how Assort captures, validates, and tells ROI stories. Own the measurement methodology, the production cadence, and the cross-functional workflow.
  • Produce a steady stream of strategic content: case studies, testimonials, and content (audio, video, written) across our audiences (22 specialties and health systems) used by sales, marketing, PR, and product.
  • Orchestrate sales references, analyst references (KLAS, Gartner, Forrester), industry awards submissions, and the customer speaker pipeline for events, webinars, and press.
  • Build the matching logic and request system that scales beyond one person fielding ad-hoc asks.
  • Stand up Assort’s first CAB. Define audience, member profile, charter, cadence, and value exchange in partnership with executive leadership. Recruit members, design programming, and run the operating cadence that earns retention and advocacy.
  • Ensure voice-of-customer shows up across our website, sales materials, ABM campaigns, event presence, press moments, and product launches.
  • Partner closely with brand, content, PR, product, and design so customer evidence is integrated rather than bolted on.
  • Use AI tools fluently (Claude, ChatGPT, Descript, Captions, HeyGen,, etc.) to compress production timelines and increase output. Treat AI as core infrastructure for this role and build AI workflows that scale repetitive parts of the customer marketing function.
  • Write cross-functional briefs for designers/producers, report on the performance of customer content, and draft internal comms for Assorties to get to know and advocate for our customers better.
