About The Position

At SolarWinds, we’re a people-first company. Our purpose is to enrich the lives of the people we serve—including our employees, customers, shareholders, partners, and communities. Join us in our mission to help customers accelerate business transformation with simple, powerful, and secure solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in an innovative, fast-paced environment and is collaborative, accountable, ready, and empathetic. We’re looking for individuals who believe they can accomplish more as a team and create lasting growth for themselves and others. We hire based on attitude, competency, and commitment. Solarians are ready to advance our world-class solutions in a fast-paced environment and accept the challenge to lead with purpose. If you’re looking to build your career with an exceptional team, you’ve come to the right place. Join SolarWinds and grow with us! Overview We are looking for a Senior Creative Strategist—a designer-first creative who thrives at the intersection of high-fidelity visual craft, motion storytelling, and agentic systems thinking. This is a role for a creative who wants to move beyond individual asset creation to architecting the very ways we create. Your foundation lies in design and typography, and that expertise serves as your guiding principle. You also bring a genuine curiosity for video and multimedia production — whether that means hands-on experience or simply a strong visual instinct for how design translates into motion. Either path is welcome here. As a Senior Creative, you will act as the primary design anchor for our projects while simultaneously serving as a force multiplier for the team. You will be responsible for building our "Scaling Engine"—strategically leveraging integrated AI (such as Adobe Firefly) and automated workflows to strip away production friction. You aren't just making work; you are designing systems that allow the team to multiply output without sacrificing craft.

Requirements

  • Expert-level command of Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
  • Portfolio should demonstrate a strong foundation in layout, typography, and visual systems.
  • 2–3 years of agency experience, with a portfolio that reflects the strategic "why" behind the design, not just the execution.
  • Actively use AI tools in your workflow today — not as a crutch, but as a production assistant.
  • Proactive and self-directed — you don't wait to be asked. You spot the opportunity, propose the solution, and move.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; you can thrive in a fast-paced environment where the brief evolves and priorities shift.
  • Strong communicator and collaborative team player who can manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Genuine curiosity for video and multimedia production — whether that means hands-on experience or simply a strong visual instinct for how design translates into motion.
  • A background in video production is a plus, not a requirement. What matters most is a sharp eye, design instincts that carry into motion, and a willingness to grow your multimedia skills on the job.
  • Basic video editing and production skills — enough to capture and cut assets with confidence.
  • Deep video production experience is a bonus; a designer's eye applied to motion is the baseline requirement.
  • Comfort collaborating with video specialists and translating design decisions into motion contexts.
  • Keeping up with the fast-moving AI tool landscape and are always looking for ways to work smarter.
  • Bonus: a background or strong interest in copywriting, screenwriting, or narrative storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-fidelity visual design to align with our ever-evolving brand.
  • Apply an agency-level "strategic lens" to every brief, ensuring visual assets aren't just beautiful, but are built to achieve specific business outcomes.
  • Own layout, typography, and visual system decisions across campaigns, digital platforms, and print.
  • Bridge the gap between static design and video, ensuring a cohesive visual language across all platforms.
  • Contribute to video and photo production as a "designer who shoots" — capturing assets with a clear understanding of how they'll live within a larger design system.
  • Provide basic video editing support when needed, with a focus on translating the design identity into motion.
  • Collaborate with the video team to ensure visual consistency from concept through final delivery.
  • Build modular templates and "creative kits" that enable the team to scale output without increasing manual hours.
  • Identify repetitive production tasks and replace them with AI-assisted or automated workflows — tools that handle the grunt work so the team can stay focused on craft.
  • Implement AI tools thoughtfully and strategically, always anchored to your creative judgment rather than letting the tool drive the output.
  • Stay current on AI developments relevant to design and multimedia production, and proactively bring new tools and methods to the team.
