About The Position

We’re seeking an organized, proactive, and relationship-focused Senior County Manager Assistant to manage your own caseload and support the County Manager in day-to-day operations for your assigned county. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Conflict resolution, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Required.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and judgment.
  • Comfortable traveling locally and outside the area.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years working with intellectual and developmental disabilities Preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Functional knowledge of human service operations and provider systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review applications, schedule interviews, and support DSP new hires through onboarding and training.
  • Facilitate orientations and ensure completion of required systems training (e.g., MITC, Relias, MAR).
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance throughout onboarding.
  • Collect and verify onboarding documentation (service agreements, support plans, etc.).
  • Assist with account setups and DSP-Individual matching.
  • Attend Meet & Greets and coordinate onboarding team tasks.
  • Train DSPs on new or revised Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and process acknowledgements.
  • Prepare annual update packets and keep safety manuals and records current.
  • Monitor overtime requests and support payroll/ billing follow-up.
  • Provide training support, monitor compliance (timecards, certifications, trainings), and assist with performance feedback.
  • Maintain consistent communication with DSPs and support coverage needs as they arise.
  • Complete annual performance reviews for assigned DSPs.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and maintain a professional office environment.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with Individuals, families, community partners, and government agencies.
  • Assist with community event participation and broader team initiatives.
  • Conduct routine audits of records to identify risks or compliance gaps.
  • Partner with the County Manager to develop mitigation plans.
  • Ability to perform and complete any additional tasks/projects as assigned.
