About The Position

This remote role, which may be hired in the Eastern Time Zone, leads a regional credit team to drive loan portfolio performance and processes. The position reviews, negotiates, and makes decisions on commercial loans and servicing plans. It serves as the regional risk control officer, mitigating loss, delinquency, and overall risk for assigned credit portfolios. The officer works closely with sales leadership, relationship managers, and associates to support strategic objectives and business plans through daily activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience in Commercial Lending, or a high school diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Commercial Lending.
• Knowledge of financial principles and concepts.
• Knowledge of the financial or credit industry regulatory structure.
• Proficiency in commercial credit analysis.
• Effective partnership-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial loan underwriting and approval process, ensuring credit quality standards, Key Risk Indicators, lending targets, and compliance requirements are met.
• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, or deficits in lending processes and develop appropriate solutions.
• Support the Bank’s safety and soundness objectives.
• Monitor and oversee the commercial loan portfolio, manage its risk, and drive overall performance.
• Maintain strong knowledge of larger credit relationships to provide approvals, relevant strategies, and effective risk management.
• Serve as a front-line resource to management and commercial clients across the organization on commercial lending matters.
• Participate in Special Assets meetings for commercial loans.
• Lead credit-related projects and initiatives.
• Build and maintain successful partnerships with sales leadership, relationship managers, and executives to ensure commercial lending objectives are communicated and carried out.
• May represent the Credit Administration department on committees.
