About The Position

Turner Staffing Group is recruiting a Senior Corporate Accountant for a growing mining operation in the Winnemucca, Nevada area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to play a key role in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities within a dynamic, fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, experience with financial reporting and consolidations, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience working within SOX or internal control environments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA candidate.
  • Public company accounting experience.
  • Public accounting experience with a Big Four or national accounting firm.
  • Experience supporting SEC reporting (10-Q and 10-K).
  • Experience with stock-based compensation accounting.
  • Experience with financial consolidations and corporate reporting.
  • Mining or natural resources industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate G&A accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and monthly close activities.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile daily corporate cash activity and support monthly cash reporting.
  • Provide cash forecast inputs to support treasury activities.
  • Consolidate financial results, including intercompany eliminations and allocations.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and consolidated financial statements.
  • Analyze budget-to-actual and period-over-period variances.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare accounting schedules, disclosure checklists, and supporting documentation.
  • Support external audits and internal control initiatives.
  • Review payroll prior to processing and assist with compensation accruals.
  • Maintain stock-based compensation accounting, including equity roll forwards and expense recognition.
  • Maintain equity, warrant, and share roll-forward schedules.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Collaborate with accounting, finance, treasury, payroll, and external auditors.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
