About The Position

Modivcare is looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team, reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. This role performs full cycle corporate accounting while supporting segment accounting peers, the financial reporting team, and business partners across the organization to ensure financial reports are in conformity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position is based in our Denver office and requires on-site attendance five (5) days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance required
  • Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience
  • Two (2) years at a senior level preferred
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of variables
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with significant independent judgment and discretion
  • Experience interacting with senior professionals and management across the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative approach fostering teamwork and participation

Nice To Haves

  • Workday ERP experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Takes a lead role in month-end and quarter-end close processes, including completion of recurring tasks, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
  • Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations
  • Prepares complex balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analytics to ensure financial statement accuracy within required reporting timeframes
  • Reviews and validates financial data interfaced from external data sources
  • Confirms intercompany balances and ensures indirect spend is reported by appropriate reporting segments
  • Identifies and implements improvements to current accounting and reporting processes
  • Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis, including quarter-end analytics related to assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions
  • Assists with internal and external audits
  • Develops and maintains positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintains procedural documentation, trains others on new processes, and monitors ongoing effectiveness and accuracy
  • Performs other financial reporting duties as assigned
