The Senior Corporate Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, completing monthly general ledger reconciliations, and performing financial analyses that support informed business decisions. Requirements

  • Knows complex accounting principles; solves complex accounting problems.
  • Is detail-oriented with analytic comprehension.
  • Knows fixed asset and accounting considerations
  • Has a high level of integrity and appropriately handles confidential information.
  • Handles multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides numbers (using currency and other forms of measurement).
  • Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
  • Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
  • Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
  • Uses noncomplex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field (required).
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
  • Advanced Accounting, alphanumeric data entry, payroll systems, spreadsheet, word processing/typing skills.
  • Intermediate 10-key skills.
  • Basic Database skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare, maintain, and coordinate fixed asset accounting activities.
  • Compile management reports, including monthly operations slides, and prepare analyses to support decision-making.
  • Compile, maintain, load, and analyze financial information.
  • Support the business through ERP knowledge and system maintenance.
  • Assist with technical accounting matters as needed.
  • Participate in the month-end close process and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Assist with administration of the employee expense reporting system.
  • Complete management reports and analyses as needed.
  • Assist with the completion of interim and annual external and internal audits.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives.
