Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer
About The Position
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Compute delivers secure, high-performance Virtual Machines for customers worldwide. The Virtual Machine Dataplane team builds and operates the core virtualization and host-side systems that power OCI VMs at scale. We work deeply in Oracle Linux and the virtualization stack (QEMU/KVM), focusing on performance, reliability, security isolation, and operational excellence in a multi-tenant cloud. We’re looking for hands-on engineers with deep systems expertise and a passion for building reliable virtualization platforms. As an ideal candidate, you will have designed and implemented large-scale services and/or low-level systems in a distributed cloud environment. You will combine strong Linux fundamentals with software engineering skills to build, troubleshoot, and evolve critical dataplane components. You will champion best practices in engineering, testing, security, and operations to deliver scalable, highly available VM infrastructure.
