About The Position

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer for its Infrastructure Planning and Capacity Management organization. The team develops software solutions for managing infrastructure capacity, sourcing resources, and planning for future demand. Its work includes planning and forecasting services, infrastructure sourcing workflows, process automation, data integration, and operational reporting, with a focus on improving decision quality and visibility while reducing manual effort across engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and workflow automation supporting infrastructure planning and capacity management. You will independently deliver software components, collaborate on technical designs, and contribute to the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of production systems. The work covers both new capabilities and improvements to existing systems, applying software engineering fundamentals and modern development practices to technical and operational challenges. The position is based onsite in Nashville, Tennessee, five days per week; it is not remote. Relocation assistance is available. The stated U.S. hiring range is $79,200 to $209,500 per year, with possible bonus and equity eligibility.

  • Implement tests and alarms to detect and address issues; build and customize dashboards, telemetry, and alerting to monitor component health.
  • Draft and execute runbooks and operational procedures to support failure recovery.
  • Design and implement feature requirements and tests within existing systems, including fault-injection and brown-out test scenarios.
  • Implement data replication and synchronization techniques to maintain data integrity and availability.
  • Diagnose, debug, and resolve system-component issues and implement basic strategies to prevent service interruptions without customer maintenance windows.
  • Design and implement automation scripts and tools for operational troubleshooting.
