We're looking for a Senior Core & Applications Developer to join our Core Processor Application Development team. This role is critical in supporting and enhancing our core banking environment, leading complex development initiatives, mentoring fellow developers, and helping drive the future of our technology landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Development, Systems Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of programming experience with strong knowledge of systems design and computer operations.
  • Extensive experience with Symitar Episys is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing with: PowerOn Programming Language, SymConnect / SymXchange, SymForm PDF, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and XML.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and application support.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of AIX/UNIX environments is a plus.
  • Experience with C++, Perl, PHP, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages is beneficial.
  • ITIL certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key technical resource responsible for developing, supporting, and enhancing our Symitar Episys core platform and related applications.
  • Design highly efficient solutions that improve processes and support exceptional member service.
  • Research, analyze, test, and implement solutions to complex business and system challenges.
  • Provide innovative recommendations that help departments operate more effectively.
  • Provide guidance to other developers, participate in code reviews, and share best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with business units, vendors, and technical teams to deliver projects that support strategic business initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Help identify opportunities to modernize processes, improve integrations, and leverage new technologies that support our evolving business needs.
