About The Position

The Senior Applications Developer is essential to the reliability, security, and continued evolution of Concerto's technology ecosystem. Working closely with third-party developers, internal stakeholders, and data engineering, this role supports EHR development and integrated modules while independently managing and supporting the organization's applications. The position helps ensure technology solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with clinic operations and care delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Three to five years of hands-on experience with C# and ASP.NET Core, including Entity Framework Core, SQL, and React.
  • Day-to-day experience using Git, pull-request review, and Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in agile-based software development.
  • Hands-on experience working with APIs, data platforms, and integrations across multiple systems.
  • Familiarity with FHIR.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and federal interoperability mandates.

  • Comfortable balancing development work with application support, maintenance, documentation, and continuous improvement.
  • A clear communicator who can translate technical concepts and risks for business and clinical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain applications and workflow tooling that support clinic operations and care delivery.
  • Work closely with third-party developers and internal stakeholders on EHR development, integrated modules, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  • Independently diagnose, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain both emerging and traditional technologies across the application portfolio.
  • Oversee system upgrades, patches, integrations, release activities, and application lifecycle planning.
  • Partner with data engineering on system enhancements, ensuring changes maintain data integrity, consistency, and referential accuracy across affected database tables.
  • Develop, maintain, and support APIs and integrations across multiple systems and data platforms.
  • Ensure applications and development practices meet HIPAA and other applicable healthcare regulatory requirements, including federal interoperability mandates.
  • Support audit readiness, data privacy, cybersecurity, and security initiatives in partnership with Compliance and other internal teams.
  • Participate in agile software development activities, including requirements refinement, estimation, code review, testing, release planning, and retrospectives.
  • Use Git, pull-request review, and Azure DevOps to support source control, collaboration, deployment, and development workflows.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, configurations, architecture, troubleshooting procedures, and system changes.
  • Monitor application performance and reliability; identify root causes of issues and implement sustainable corrective solutions.
  • Collaborate with business and clinical stakeholders to translate operational needs into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Follow secure software development practices and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, processes, and application architecture.
