About The Position

The Contract Administrator will report to the VP of Contracts and will support both internal and external customers in the day-to-day administration of company contract and subcontract agreements according to the company policies and procedures, legal requirements, and customer and contract specifications. The ideal candidate should be proficient in handling the planning, creation, and updating of contracts to meet program needs while minimizing company risk and liability. The ideal candidate will also have cradle-to-grave experience in administering federal government prime contracts and subcontracts. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to work proactively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Requirements

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, demonstrating strong time management and critical thinking skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interactions with both internal and external customers
  • Ability to work productively, both independently and as part of a team, to meet project objectives within designated timelines
  • Prompt responsiveness to internal and external customer requests
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance, as required for the role.
  • It is an essential requirement for the person in this role to have a legal right to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-9 years of federal contract administration experience
  • NCMA Certified Contracts Management Professional (CPCM) or equivalent certification
  • Experience working within a government-approved purchasing system
  • Experience in Microsoft Business Central ERP

Responsibilities

  • Cradle-to-grave contract administration process for cost-reimbursable, time and materials, and firm-fixed-price type contracts with the U.S. Government, Department of War covering research and development, operations and maintenance services
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of government contracting policies, including the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
  • Assess and determine appropriate terms and conditions, including customer flow-down provisions, to prepare analysis for positions in negotiations
  • Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate internal stakeholders regarding contract status
  • Interact regularly with program managers to support and resolve contractual issues and ensure contract compliance
  • Support program subcontracting needs, complying with both company and federal purchasing policies and requirements, including process and documentation in accordance with U.S. Government Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR)
  • Manage subcontract sourcing, proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, and execution, administration
  • Support bid and proposal preparation, leading the review and analysis of solicitations and request for proposals, ensuring compliance with company review and approval requirements
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate non-disclosure and teaming agreements
  • Maintain internal company contractual records and databases, as well as documentation related to established contracts and those in progress
  • Analyze subcontractor financial reports and technical documents to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and schedule
