As an Senior Content Strategy Manager within Tempus Technologies, subsidiary of PNC, you will be based remotely. Role Purpose Lead content strategy and execution to ensure documentation meaningfully supports and enhances the product portfolio. Balance people leadership, content standards, and user informed decision making across internal and external documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience leading or managing technical writers or content teams.
  • Strong background in content strategy, information architecture, and documentation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect user needs and research to content decisions.
  • Comfortable working cross functionally with product, engineering, and design teams.
  • Bachelors
  • At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of technical writers supporting both internal and customer facing documentation.
  • Establish a clear content strategy and operating model aligned to product priorities.
  • Define standards for clarity, usability, and consistency across all documentation types.
  • Drive user and customer research to inform documentation structure, depth, and delivery.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Support, and UX to ensure content supports product adoption and effectiveness.
  • Guide content prioritization to maximize impact without unnecessary volume.
  • Drives design strategy across business segments to optimize digital experience, leveraging design thinking and other best practices of design through the leadership of a digital team.
  • Work with partners across the enterprise, including product management, design, and technology, to deliver engaging, usable, consistent, and accessible experiences aligned with business objectives, cohesive with all of PNC’s digital properties.
  • Develops design practice, while elevating and strengthening the practice of design.
  • Direct the team’s operations, ensuring appropriate design work is being identified, prioritized, and completed on a timely basis.
  • Participate in agile development crews and practice human-centered design across the domains of visual and communication design, interaction and user experience design, information architecture, prototyping and design research.
  • Collaborate with product managers and technology to set vision and execute on vision for the customer experience for a particular feature area, product, etc.
  • Formalize product strategy and ensure it is meeting customer needs.
  • Work with other design leaders to improve the community of practice for all design teams.
  • Assess digital experience trends and results in order to recommend new digital experiences or enhancements to existing experiences by leveraging industry and market place research and insights.
  • Mentor, coach, and critique designers.
  • Guide the team’s maturity in establishing design practices, including cultivating a culture of critique and informing the design process through regular research.
