About The Position

Apollo.io is seeking a Sr. Content Marketer who is passionate about creating informative content, is creative, AI-savvy, and has a strong interest in modern go-to-market strategies. This role involves building the content engine and actively executing content projects daily, utilizing AI tools and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position is a senior individual contributor role responsible for creating high-impact content that inspires GTM operators, stimulates community discussions, and drives revenue. The role goes beyond traditional SEO blog posts, involving original research, video series production, and developing defining frameworks for modern GTM to provide significant value to the audience. The content landscape requires both honest assessment and fresh ambition.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of content marketing experience, ideally at a B2B SaaS company in the GTM space. Strong startup generalists with a strong spike in content should also apply.
  • Full funnel experience from brand-building pieces to conversion-focused assets.
  • Knowledge and passion for keeping up with the ever-changing GTM landscape.
  • Clear, crisp, and engaging writing style that can make big ideas seem simple, balancing authority without sounding too serious and using jargon purposefully.
  • Deeply creative and able to produce original, thought-provoking, and on-brand content across multiple channels.
  • AI pro comfortable with Claude, with bonus points for experience with AirOps, Tofu, Opus Clip, or other cutting-edge tools.
  • Distribution-first mindset, considering content spread from day one and leveraging networks and influencers.
  • Strong project management skills to handle both strategy and execution, keeping everything on time.
  • High agency and high performance, with the ability to execute confidently without extensive hand-holding.
  • Ability to hold oneself and others to a high bar.

Nice To Haves

  • Content that has gone viral more than once in the B2B space.
  • PMM experience, enabling the ability to write product-focused content that doesn't read like a manual.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a sharp content strategy aligned with business goals, working closely with PMM to understand customers, product, and revenue team priorities.
  • Grow the brand into the destination for modern GTM wisdom by blending strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Create educational and engaging content using original research, GTM experts, and various formats like short videos, webinars, and podcasts.
  • Translate complex sales tech concepts and product features into easily digestible content.
  • Collaborate with Demand Gen, PMM, and Sales to create content that supports fast-moving campaigns and drives outcomes.
  • Scale the content machine using AI tools, with fluency in Claude and other AI tools being a requirement.
  • Optimize content performance by tracking metrics and using data to improve content output.
  • Take risks, have fun, and stand out; avoid boring, SEO-stuffed blog posts.
