About The Position

At Schwab, the Senior Container Platform Engineer will join the Infrastructure Platforms organization to build and operate resilient, secure, and repeatable enterprise container platforms across on-premises data centers. The role designs, automates, optimizes, and supports PCF/Tanzu Platform for Cloud Foundry and Red Hat OpenShift environments that enable application teams to deploy and operate containerized workloads at scale. As a senior technical contributor, this engineer will influence platform architecture, engineering standards, lifecycle planning, automation, and complex production support. The role addresses issues spanning Linux, compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and observability, while partnering with application, architecture, security, infrastructure, operations, and vendor teams. Success requires technical judgment, problem solving, collaboration, adaptability, and the ability to turn production lessons into lasting platform improvements. The position participates in an on-call production support rotation and is intended to be performed on site in the specified location(s). The role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities in addition to the salary range.
