Senior Consultant (multiple positions available)
About The Position
Atos is seeking a Senior Consultant to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing complex analytics solutions and trends using Power BI Desktop and Service. This role involves collaborating with technology, business, and product partners to define requirements and use cases, finalize development efforts, and create test strategies and timelines. The consultant will coordinate with onshore/offshore teams, participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, and create mockup reporting layouts. Responsibilities include performing Proof of Concepts for data migration, preparing detailed design documents, implementing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and ensuring design objects meet client and company technical standards. The role also involves resolving performance issues in semantic models and DAX measures, using GitHub and DevOps for source control, optimizing report performance with DAX functions, establishing Power BI templates for efficiency, and conducting training on Power BI features. The Senior Consultant will leverage IT systems knowledge for complex reporting needs and perform unit and performance tests. The position may involve supporting specific industry groups such as Retail & Logistics, Automotive, Banking and Finance, Healthcare, Insurance, and Information Technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field of study.
- Five (5) years of experience in any occupation with Information Technology (IT) experience, or related.
- Five (5) years of required Information Technology (IT), or related experience must include: Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms such as: Microsoft Power BI, Paginated Report Builder, Dataflows, Tableau; RESTful API; Version Control Systems such as: GIT, SharePoint; Object Oriented Programming Languages such as: Python; CI/CD tools such as: Pipelines, Azure DevOps; Power Platforms such as: Microsoft Power Apps, Copilot Studio, Power Automate; Database tools such as: Snowflake, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Google Big Query; ETL tools such as: Alteryx, Power Query.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience in any occupation with Information Technology (IT) experience, or related. Must have skills listed above.
Responsibilities
- Work as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and design complex analytics solutions and trends using Power BI Desktop and Service.
- Collaborate with technology, business, and product partners to create requirements, and use case documents.
- Finalize requirements and size the development and support efforts, test strategy and timelines based on impact analysis.
- Coordinate with Onshore/Offshore, attend project kick-off meetings, participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and create mockup reporting layouts.
- Perform Proof of Concepts to migrate data from legacy system to latest tools and databases.
- Prepare detailed design documents and software requirements for specification documents.
- Implement Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) throughout all custom developments.
- Work on various design deliverables and ensure all design objects created meet client and company technical standards.
- Resolve performance issues in semantic models and DAX measures or calculated columns.
- Use GitHub and DevOps as the source control repository.
- Utilize the efficient DAX functions to improve the performance of the reports.
- Create development standards and perform reviews of code and test results to verify report functionality is working as expected.
- Establish Power BI templates to help improve turnaround time and automate repeated work.
- Conduct training to educate Developers, Analysts, and business partners about the latest Power BI features.
- Leverage experience and knowledge of complex IT systems and applications to design complex reporting needs.
- Design and make unit tests to provide consistency among similar reports and performance tests in a consistent and standardized manner.
- May be assigned to and provide products/support to specific industry groups such as Retail & Logistics, Automotive, Banking and Finance, Healthcare, Insurance, and Information Technology.
