Requirements

BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Economics.
ASA/FSA/EA designation or significant progress towards credentials
Minimum seven to ten years related work experience
Well-developed written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for working with junior and senior level actuaries in determining the applicable financial implications associated with Small Defined Benefit and Cash Balance Plans.
Review Actuarial Valuations under required governmental regulations and applicable accounting standards for pension
Monitor and review items related to annual compliance for qualified pension plans
Review of pension plan benefits certifications
Use of standard spreadsheet tools and development of non-standard spreadsheets for special projects
Review annual update of valuation system software and programming for new plans
Review and/or draft routine correspondence for review by senior level actuaries
Respond to client inquiries and attend some meetings with senior level actuaries
Assist with the development of project work plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure client satisfaction
Assist team in special consulting projects as needed
As an integral member of the organization, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the department and the Company in achieving their goals.
