Requirements

  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in the Accident & Health (A&H) or specialty insurance lines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in actuarial modeling software and techniques (e.g., R, Python, SQL, Excel).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Experience with pricing, reserving, and financial modeling.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing direct reports.
  • Familiarity with regulatory filings and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Underwriting and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Product) to support the ongoing expansion of A&H product offerings and pricing capabilities
  • Lead quarterly portfolio reviews and experience analyses to monitor performance and identify emerging trends
  • Support the annual A&H planning process including ELR picks
  • Lead pricing for new and renewal business in collaboration with Underwriting
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain A&H pricing models and tools
  • Partner with A&H management to evaluate new business opportunities and support growth initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain actuarial databases to support pricing and reporting needs
  • Work with external consultants on filing-related matters as needed
  • Manage and mentor two direct reports
