About The Position

3Cloud is seeking a Senior Consultant - Data Platforms & Architecture to deliver data platform and business intelligence solutions for clients. The position involves implementing solutions with Microsoft Power BI and related technologies, working with advanced database systems, and developing high-performing, reliable, and scalable solutions. The consultant will conduct data analysis, produce and obtain approval for project design documents, and develop reports, dashboards, scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics using existing and emerging tools. The role includes communicating technical details to business and management audiences, working independently or collaboratively, supporting business development with presales activities and RFPs, coaching teammates, and demonstrating emerging technologies and concepts. Delivery may use Agile or Waterfall methodologies. 3Cloud describes its workplace as virtual-first, with flexible work location. The company is unable to sponsor work visas. The posting expires October 27, 2025. The base salary range is $103,100–$154,700 USD, with eligibility for an annual discretionary/utilization bonus.

Requirements

A minimum of 2–5 years of experience, with expertise in Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure OpenAI.
Expert knowledge of data management, business intelligence, and analytics concepts, including ETL; data warehouses, lakes, marts, stores, and cubes; data quality and profiling; data governance, master data management, and metadata management; data visualization, dashboards, reporting, self-service BI, KPIs, and scorecards; and predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics.
Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, including Power BI, Excel, and SQL Server (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS).
Ability to learn new concepts and software, with a strong interest in learning new technologies.
Familiarity with database-centric applications.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience with the Azure Data Estate, including SQL DB, Cosmos DB, SQL DW, and Data Lake.
Experience with Azure ML Studio or Azure ML Services.
Advanced SQL knowledge, including stored procedures, triggers, analytic functions, and tuning.
Knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Experience with data science tools, technologies, and techniques, including R, Python, and algorithms.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical work using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Assist the business development team with presales activities and RFPs.
Provide meaningful feedback and coach team members to help them overcome technological challenges.
Lead and demonstrate emerging technologies and concepts to teams.
