About The Position

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets Technology team, specifically within the Electronic Foreign Exchange group. As a Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, you will be responsible for executing business analysis activities to advance electronic FX trading business initiatives and ensure project success. You will act as a liaison between project stakeholders by serving as single point of contact with respect to requirement expertise, requirement management process and will actively participate in all phases of a project life cycle. You’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to capture and translate inputs and business logic into successful business outputs.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in a business systems analyst role handling entire project lifecycle from requirement gathering to production deployment in an Agile environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into complex technical solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate well and present technical details to a non-technical audience.
  • At least 5 years of SQL experience.
  • A degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong asset if you’ve worked in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Prior experience in Capital Markets trading platforms or large enterprise software solutions (Celer, ION, Fluent etc).
  • Experience in Bloomberg, FXall, 360T and FX Connect is a strong asset.
  • Prior experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Verifix etc.) is a plus.

  • Preparing and validating solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Supporting end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert.
  • Providing guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals.
  • Maintaining a collaborative work environment and supporting team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
